General Description :

Compact design, consists of transparent plastic cyclone, vacuum blower and exhaust air filter . The cyclone dimension is according to standard cyclone with inside diameter not less than 128 mm. Air flow measurement by nozzle and manometer at the maximum approach velocity of 30 fps. Typical efficiency depending on particle size distribution and density of used sample but generally not less than 80%. Pipe and cyclone body can be detached for cleaning. Electronic balance, spare air filters and hand blower are provided. Pressure drop across cyclone can be measured by provided manometer. The instrument is mounted on mobile steel frame with 4 brakable wheels.

Experimental capabilities :

Teaches basic principles of cyclone separator. Comparison of theoretical equation and test result. Used as prototype and experimental work are possible.
